Importance of Math Literacy
When a student solves a math problem they are using critical thinking and creativity- skills that employers highly value in the work place. However, adequate math skills are not required just for a professional life. Interest and effectiveness in math can hugely impact your child's life both inside and out of work. As your child grows they will be required to do their own taxes, calculate tips at restaurants, pay their own bills, determine the dosage of medications they should take, understand statistics and their implications on the news, and hundreds of other ways. Your student needs basic math skills to navigate the world around them. Improving their math skills can increase their ability to succeed as adults and professionals.
